6th - 8th Grade Nonfiction Suite

In grades 6-8, students are asked to navigate and make meaning of nonfiction texts. In addition, students must determine a central idea and cite evidence to support an analysis of a nonfiction text. In addition, readers must determine the importance of text structure and text features. Furthermore, students are asked to write an objective summary. Students are expected to compare and contrast information for multiple texts and integrate information to deepen their understanding of a topic.
